Leo Wallet lets you manage known addresses through the "Address Book" feature. It helps reducing the risk of sending assets to the wrong address and makes the wallet more user friendly. It consists of a list of names associated with addresses that is stored in the app.
How to add a contact to the Address Book?
All imported and created account's addresses are added by default in you Address Book. You can add other external addresses by following these steps:
- Open the wallet
- Go to "Settings" panel
- Click on "Address Book"
- Press the Plus button on top right
- Fill the Address input field
- Fill the corresponding name field
- Click the "Add" button
How to remove a contact from the Address Book?
You cannot remove contacts that correspond to an internal account address. Though, you can remove other external addresses by following these steps:
- Open the wallet
- Go to "Settings" panel
- Click on "Address Book"
- Scroll to the desired contact
- Double check last 4 characters of the contact address
- Click the cross button on the right of the contact
- Click OK/Delete to confirm the deletion
How to set a contact as a transaction recipient?
When initiating a transaction, you can chose the recipient from the contact list by going to the 'Current Contacts' section of the transaction panel, and then scroll to desired contact and click on it. It will fill the transaction recipient input field automatically with the correct address. You should always double check the input field content last four characters match those of the contact address.

Address book content is stored directly on your device and is never shared with a centralized server owned by Leo Wallet. It is not related to the blockchain in any way. This means importing a seed phrase won't import the address book created in a previous wallet with that seed phrase:
